“A faire and beautiful Bay compassed but for the mouth with fruitful, delightsome land and creatures. Heaven and earth never agreed better to frame a place for man’s habitation.”

-Captain John Smith

Callinectes strives to encourage people to reduce their footprint in efforts to help the bay by reducing chemicals and pollutants that runoff into the bay from the surrounding areas, damaging the ecosystems.

One of the ways to help save the bay is by replenishing the seagrass as well as certain nutrients in the bay that have been depleted due to toxins from human causes.

All efforts such as reducing our negative footprint and starting to replenish the the dead zones will contribute to restoring the vital and gorgeous Chespeake Bay.
